Intergenerational events are
designed to encourage interaction and help to
increase a feeling of self-worth. It also gave
everyone something to look forward to and talking to
each other helped them all feel valued.
The second project this autumn was
linked to the ‘Big Draw’, a national art event to
encourage people to draw. Members of some of the art
classes in Usk and other residents joined other
children from the school. Some children drew
artifacts in the museum, while others, with
encouragement and support from the art class
students, drew some of the adults who came.
